For gastroenterologists, ENT surgeons, pulmonologists and gynaecologists in India choosing how to write endoscopy reports: an installed reporting system, a browser-based tool, or a Word or PDF format.
Disclosure: MedPrax publishes this page and sells MedPrax Report, one of the options below. We have no commercial relationship with the other vendors. We did not test their software hands-on; their details come from their own websites and seller listings, linked below and checked on 4 November 2026.
The short answer
- Pick FUJIFILM ENDOVEDA if your unit already runs Fujifilm endoscopy systems and needs 4K capture with PACS and HIS integration. Ask Fujifilm India for a quote.
- Pick EndoClinic if you want an established installed Windows system with video recording and editing, shared over the hospital LAN.
- Pick VisualScopy if you want installed capture and reporting software with video recording and live streaming from an Indian vendor, bought with the capture hardware.
- Pick MedPrax Report if you report on your own or in a small clinic, want to start free on a laptop you already own, and do not need video or PACS integration.
- Keep a Word or PDF format if you write only a few reports a month. It costs nothing.
How we compared
We used the same five questions for every option:
- Setup: what you install, and what hardware you need to get images in.
- Cost to start: whether a price is published, and what the first month costs.
- Image capture: stills, video and resolution.
- Integration: whether reports reach PACS, HIS or another system.
- Report output: what the finished report looks like and how corrections are handled.
Competitor facts come only from the vendor’s own website or the seller’s own listing. Where something is not published, we say so instead of guessing.
| Option | Setup | Published price | Image capture | Integration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FUJIFILM ENDOVEDA | Installed system from Fujifilm India | Not published | Full HD and 4K images | PACS and HIS |

- Strengths: Full HD and UHD 4K image capture, image enhancement, integration with hospital systems (PACS and HIS), and local and remote support, according to Fujifilm.
- Drawback: no price is published, and the announcement does not say whether it works with other manufacturers’ scopes, so you need a sales conversation before you can compare it.

MedPrax Report
MedPrax Report is our product: endoscopy reporting software that runs in the browser. You connect a compatible scope to your laptop through a USB video adapter, capture frames, tap common findings and download a signed PDF.
- Best for: individual doctors and small clinics in gastroenterology, ENT, pulmonology and gynaecology who want to start without buying a workstation.
- Strengths: 20+ report formats across 12 procedure types, free templates, signed PDFs with corrections added as amendments, seven-day patient links protected by an access code, and dictation in Chrome and Edge.
- Drawbacks: it captures still images only, with no video recording. It has no direct PACS, HIS, HL7 or DICOM connection; reports can be exported as a FHIR R4 JSON file for another system to import. The free plan stops at 5 reports a month.
- Price: Free for up to 5 reports a month with no card. Essential ₹999 / $19 and Professional ₹2,499 / $49 are one-time 30-day purchases with no automatic renewal (pricing).
A Word or PDF format
Plenty of doctors still type reports into a Word file or fill in a printed format. Our free endoscopy report formats come in PDF and Word for every common procedure, with sample reports.
- Best for: a few reports a month, or a unit that is not ready to change how it works.
- Strengths: free, works on any computer or on paper, and you control the layout.
- Drawback: findings are retyped for every patient, images are pasted in one by one, and there is no signed version history when a report is corrected.
- Price: free.
Which one fits your practice
- A hospital endoscopy unit on Fujifilm towers that sends everything to PACS: start with ENDOVEDA, and compare EndoClinic’s LAN setup.
- A busy gastro suite that records procedure videos: EndoClinic or VisualScopy, both of which record and edit video.
- An ENT surgeon reporting nasal endoscopy and laryngoscopy in clinic on a laptop: MedPrax Report, or the ENT package from VisualScopy’s seller if you also want video.
- A consultant doing a handful of scopes a month: a free Word or PDF format, or MedPrax Report’s free plan.
Frequently asked questions
Is there free endoscopy reporting software?
MedPrax Report has a free plan for up to 5 reports a month, and the Word and PDF formats on this site are free to download. For the installed systems, ask the vendor about trial or demo licences.
Do I need a capture card for endoscopy software?
Installed systems usually take video from the scope tower through a capture card in the PC. MedPrax Report uses a USB video adapter connected to a laptop instead. Either way, check that your scope’s video output is compatible before you buy.
